As part of its ongoing commitment to academic excellence, AIMU students, both Medical and Nursing, pay regular visits to the nearby Marian Home, a nursing home dedicated to the care of the elderly in St. Lucia. The Med 4 Medical students perform history-taking and physicals of the residents of Marian Home as part of the practical Physical Diagnosis (PD) curriculum. The Nursing students render wound care, injections and baths to the residents and deliver talks to the healthcare workers about pressure sore prevention and general care of the elderly.
