A basic life support (BLS) course along with Clinical and Surgical Skills Lab was organized by AMSA-AIMU on May 20th 2017 in the school campus.
Clinical and Surgical Skills Lab:
Clinical Skills Lab brought together medical practitioners, health science educators, knowledge pursuers and students; to discuss, depict, practice and view skills that help serve better in practice. Knowing this will be beneficial in future clinical science practices.
Basic Life Support (BLS)-Emergency Care:
Students performed Basic Life Support techniques under the guidance of
Mr. Benjiman, an American Heart Association (AHA) certified paramedic and currently working at St. Jude’s Hospital. Students learned to recognize life threatening emergencies and the appropriate time for performing CPR’s, AEDand airway management. Students also practiced the techniques on the manikins.
