Orientation day – Fall 2017 event held

American International Medical University (AIMU) held the orientation ceremony for the new batch of students on Monday, 4th September at 10 am in room 315. Ms Reshmika Elangovan was the Master of Ceremonies for the event. The event started with a customary prayer. Following this Dr John Klir, the Dean of the School of Medicine provided a detailed insight into teaching-learning, assessment, discipline, professionalism and other aspects of being a medical student. Mrs. Grissel Leon, Associate Dean of the School of Nursing provided a succinct introduction to the nursing program at AIMU. The outgoing president of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA), Mr Sainikhil provided an overview of various activities conducted by AMSA during the year 2016-17. Ms Elangovan, the President of the Student Government Association (SGA) provided an overview of the different activities organized by the association. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of various prizes recognising student achievements in both academics and sports, Mr Dolor and Dr Ravi distributed the certificates.
