Student Government Association ( SGA)
The Student Government Association aspires to be a member of the American International Medical University community which values the pillars of our common ground: Respect, Integrity, Innovation, Openness, Justice, and Responsibility. This association or any part thereof shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, sex, religion, creed, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, disability, veteran status, age, economic or social class, major or minor.
The purpose of the Student Government Association is to improve the quality of student life at the University both academically and socially by addressing student needs and concerns, providing financial structure for AIM-U student clubs and organizations, and representing the student body in a professional manner.
The Student Government Association will be undertaking a number of activities and programs such as Medical Camps, Workshops, Sports, Music, Gym and Fitness, Dance and Theatre, Newsletters, Tours, etc.
AMSA – AIMU (American Medical Students Association)
The American Medical Student Association (AMSA), with a half-century history of medical student activism, is the oldest and largest independent association of physicians-in-training in the United States.
Today, AMSA is a student-governed, national organization committed to representing the concerns of physicians-in-training. With a membership of more than 62,000 medical students, premedical students, interns, residents and practicing physicians from across the country, AMSA continues its commitment to improving medical training and the nation’s health.
